Preserving it for wildlife management and recreation. On September 3, 1998, Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. gave the state of Tennessee nearly 4,000 acres of wilderness, to be known as the Bridgestone/Firestone Conservation Area.

Governor Don Sundquist calls the property, with its lush laurel groves, waterfalls and wildlife, an "environmental treasure." On the next few pages, some recent pictures of this gift to the people of Tennessee
