NEW generation R287 innovations

Stress-relief rib sipes
Fight irregular wear on main ribs by absorbing rib edge stresses in the footprint to promote even wear for higher mileage.
Equalizer RibTM design
Promotes uniform rib wear and higher removal mileage. This small rib absorbs irregular wear forces and fights initiation and spread of edge wear, including river and wavy wear, on the main ribs.
Thirsty mid-rib sipes
Enhance wet traction by breaking up pocketed water for a solid grip on wet surfaces.
Side GrooveTM feature
Since many steers are removed prematurely because of severe shoulder wear and cupping, these patented grooves fight shoulder tearing and edge and wavy wear. Inside of groove is rounded to prevent stress cracking.
Proven tread pattern
Straight-groove tread pattern evacuates water from footprint, offering superior wet traction and control. Tread design promotes extended even wear.

The R287's tread compound is engineered to offer superior traction and control on both wet and dry surfaces. Plus, it withstands severe scrubbing forces during hard cornering and braking.

B. Wider to last longer
R287's wider tread distributes weight and wear forces over a larger area for longer, smoother wear. Plus wider design means R287 takes a full-size drive cap, preferred by most fleet operators, for even more low-cost miles.

C. Computer-designed all-steel casing
